Cordão de Ouro Atlanta is delighted to have the opportunity to host the 3rd Annual International Capoeira Conference. This year, CDO Atlanta is very honored to welcome Mestre Suassuna (Reinaldo Ramos Suassuna) to our batizado. In 1966, Mestre Suassuna founded Cordão de Ouro which has become an important worldwide name in capoeira. To date thousands of capoeiristas have been trained by Cordão de Ouro both in Brazil and abroad. In addition to Mestre Suassuna, CDO Atlanta many other masters of capoeira from Brazil and the United States will attend the event. At this event participants will have the opportunity to train and play capoeira along with many masters from Brazil and the United States. | Aug 22-24 : CDO Atlanta Adult Summer Camp Fripp Island, South Carolina This exciting weekend summer camp for adult capoeiristas will be led by Contra Mestre Muriel. Guest Mestres will include Mestre Panão (Grupo Resistência, Richmond, Virginia) and Professor Pinga Fogo (Ginga Brasil-CDO, Meriden, Connecticut). The weekend will consist of workshops on Capoeira Angola, Capoeira Regional, Miudinho and music, in addition to rodas, beach time and a group party.
