Cordão de Ouro Atlanta is delighted to have the opportunity to host the 6th Annual International Capoeira Conference. Annual BAtizado with special guest from Brazil, Mestre Marrom (http://www.marromcapoeira.com).

Special Guest Include:

At this event, participants will have the opportunity to train and play capoeira along with these masters from Brazil and the United States. The 6th International Capoeira Conference and Educational Workshops will conclude with a community roda featuring capoeira masters from Brazil and across the United States.  The Masters and workshop participants will demonstrate various styles of capoeira play including Miudinho and the sequences of Mestre Bimba.  The event will also include demonstrations on the berimbau and pandeiro.  Members of Cordão de Ouro Atlanta will give performances of Maculelê, Dança do Fogo (a dance of fire) and Dança Guerrera (a warrior’s dance).  Finally, during the changing of the cords ceremony, the skills of the Atlanta students will be tested by the Masters, and students will receive cords representative of their skill level in the game..
